Mission Statement

The Alberta Farm Safety Centre promotes safe agricultural practices based on concern for the welfare of individuals, families and communities. To this end, educational materials, workshops, displays, and events are developed that involve people on-site and throughout Alberta.

Guiding Principles

  • To seek out and address current and future agricultural safety issues and provide programs and facilities to address these issues.
  • To provide programming that is exciting, informative, and educational and that uses the most appropriate means to convey safety messages to a variety of audiences. To actively extend Centre programs to the public.
  • To provide a rural focus for and encourage close co-operation with other heath and safety related groups.
  • To co-operate with both the private and public sector in fulfilling our mission.

2008-2009 Sept - April
37,530 students taught
in 1886 classrooms.
109,183 km traveled to
reach 377 rural schools.

2. Peace Region:
UFA Safety Smarts now
available. New instructor
will be contacting and
booking program with

in the region.

3. Farm Safety DVD for
rural children 6-12 years
